Phil Eherenman has worked in the restaurant business for over 33 years and has always loved cooking. By adopting a low-fat, whole foods, plant-based diet in 2007, Phil lost 40 pounds and reversed several health problems. Through years of studying nutrition and personal benefits from his dietary change, Phil has developed a passion for passing on his knowledge of food and nutrition to others and empowering them to make wise choices for optimal health and longevity.
Phil is trained and certified by the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) to teach the Food for Life Cooking and Nutrition Classes.
“My goal is to help people understand that the food they eat is one of the most important decisions they will ever make for their longevity and quality of life. Eat as though your life depends on it--because it does."
Phil is married and has lived in Alaska for nearly 30 years. He has a B.A. in English and Secondary Education and also loves organic gardening, yoga, playing the trumpet, hiking, skate skiing and year-round mountain biking.
